This week on The Cold Calling Podcast, we talk about the toughest kind of cold calling – actually hitting the streets and making cold calls for real, i.e. calling on your prospects face-to-face, unannounced.

Cold calling is not always about telemarketing. Sometimes unsolicited sales calls have to be made in person. And this can be one of the hardest things to do in a b2b environment.

However, there are circumstances where this is a good strategy. For example, maybe you’ve been trying to reach someone without success and you’re in their neighbourhood anyway. Or maybe you’re selling a product that has to be seen by your prospects for them to make any kind of judgement about it (you might be an artist selling your paintings to hang in their reception area for example).

There are many other circumstances where you might want to knock on your prospect’s door. We discuss them in this podcast, along with some of the pros and cons of this approach, possible outcomes, and the various things you should keep in mind if you do decide to go for it.
